Updated Financial Report for 2014 due late bill submission - click here

A.W."Sask" Wilford Retires as Treasurer/Membership Chair

Sask has decided to hang up his Treasurer/Membership hat. He is the longest serving member of the Association. Among his many other duties he has been the guardian of the Association finances for over thirteen years. He will continue in the executive group so we will continue to benefit from his insightful direction and astute advice.

On behalf of all Association members, our heartfelt thanks for his outstanding contribution to the success of the Association in the past and look forward to his future contributions.

Our new Treasurer and Membership chair, Dick Dunn has our thanks for taking on the job as well as a suggestion to modify our tax deduction procedure to benefit our members and the Association finances.

427 Squadron Association - Financial Report for 2014

I am sticking with the narrative report for two reasons. First, as a means of saving paper and secondly because there wasn't much activity in the financial world of your association in 2014. If you want the number crunchers version go click here.

2014 once again, was a good news - bad news year. On the good side, Wayne and Dean Black have reduced our expenses for ROAR and the Website to a mere $591.42 although I am still anticipating a bill from Dean for the November ROAR. We had one other claim for $14.24 for stamps and that's all. Therefore you might ask, if that is the good news then what is the bad news?

Well, on the revenue side, we received just over $700.00 (vs $840.00 last year and $1840.46 in 2012) and once again our bank interest plummented from $2.67 to a mere $1.23. Can you believe it.

We welcomed three new members in 2014 ($150.00) and received donations of $540.00 plus the paltry bank contribution. I'll save you some head scratching by doing the math for you - the net result is that we operated the year at a profit of $95.57 (except we still will get a bill from Dean) and that is indeed bad news.

Our bank balance remains solid at $4261.13 and your Executive Committee remains hopeful that the last two years have been just an anomaly and we can look forward to a brighter future in 2015.

If you would like an itemized report, please email me (it saves us money) or go to the website.
